Herring Gull
Larophiles may be interested in a recent thread and images on Surfbirds regarding a Herring Gull (sp) 3rd-winter showing some mixed characters of argenteus/smithsonianus with the conclusion erring toward argenteus with a very well defined tail band. Thread can be found here.
